«Les Miscellanées de Mr Schott» is a miscellany by Ben Schott, published by Allia in a French-language edition of 162 pages.
The book brings together curiosities and scattered facts about a wide variety of subjects, and is designed to be opened at any page: each entry provides a small dose of information. The circular vignette on the cover, with books, globes, and scientific instruments, reinforces its encyclopedic and entertaining character.
The French-language edition was published on February 21, 2005; the records consulted also document editions or reprints from 2006 and 2012.
The book is aimed at curious readers who prefer short pieces and varied topics, and who enjoy specific look-ups.
Ben Schott is a British writer, photographer, and author of the Schott's Miscellanies and Schott's Almanac series.
