«L'Evie i els animals» is the children's novel by Matt Haig, illustrated by Emily Gravett, published by Estrella Polar in paperback (272 pages, in Catalan).
Evie, aged ten, has an extraordinary gift: she can talk to animals and hear their thoughts. After freeing Kahlo, a caged rabbit at school, her father and grandmother insist that this talent is a curse and she must not use it. A year later, the pets on her street begin to disappear, and Evie is the only one who can help them.
It is the first title in the «Evie» series; translated by Núria Artigas Bellsolell.
Recommended for readers aged 8 and up, especially for those seeking adventures with animals and a touch of fantasy.
