This book by Jesús Mosterín offers a synthesis of the historical trajectory and intellectual contribution of the Jewish people, from the legendary times of the biblical patriarchs to the Shoah and the State of Israel. Written with objectivity, it describes the gestation of the Bible, the tribulations of the Hebrews, and the ideas of great Jewish thinkers, such as Maimonides, Spinoza, and Einstein. This volume is part of the 'History of Thought' series.
Jesús Mosterín was a leading Spanish philosopher and a thinker of broad spectrum, often at the frontier between science and philosophy.
