«Los tambores» is an illustrated book by Reiner Zimnik, published by Lumen in 1985 in paperback (73 pages, in Spanish).
The story follows a group of drummers who, laden with their instruments, ascend a very high mountain and discover a fertile valley that seems like Paradise to them. When they begin to till the land, they find gold and are filled with joy, convinced that each of them is a king.
It belongs to the Palabra Menor collection, number 7, and is a translation of «Die Trommler», Zimnik's original title. The author is also responsible for the volume's illustrations.
