«Ma boîte à histoires» is a chest with nine children's stories by Susie Morgenstern, published by De La Martinière Jeunesse in hardcover, in French.
It brings together 26 stories, one for each letter of the alphabet, set in the CP classroom, the first year of primary school in France. With humor and sensitivity, Susie Morgenstern portrays children learning to read: Michaël is angry with words, Quentin never stops asking questions and Henriette wants to go to class in a swimsuit.
The illustrations are by Delphine Mach, Christine Roussey and Fabrice Turrier. Each volume has 40 pages and includes three tales; the box was published in 2007.
For children starting to read in French: the 26 stories, linked to the letters of the alphabet, accompany the learning of reading.
