«Max n'aime pas perdre» is the children's comic by Dominique de Saint Mars and Serge Bloch, published by Calligram in hardcover (45 pages, in French).
Max enjoys playing but hates losing: missing a goal in soccer or facing someone stronger in tennis gets him down. This comic from the Max et Lili series reflects on defeat: it's normal to want to win, but you shouldn't cheat or be a bad loser. Accepting disappointments and learning from them helps regain self-confidence.
Volume 39 of the Max et Lili series, in the Ainsi va la vie collection. Originally published in 1998.
Suitable for children aged 6 to 9, useful for addressing frustration and managing defeat in play.
