«Max a triché» is the children's comic by Dominique de Saint-Mars and Serge Bloch, published by Calligram in hardcover (41 pages, in French).
Max cheats on exams because he believes he can't pass on his own and doesn't want to disappoint his parents. When one day he's moved to a different seat, the story invites reflection on honesty, effort, and self-confidence. Throughout the panels, questions appear that encourage the reader to think about why one cheats, what consequences it has, and how to regain the confidence to succeed without relying on others.
It belongs to the series «Ainsi va la vie» (Max et Lili), volume 15. The images show interior pages with dialogues from school life in French.
Recommended for boys and girls aged 6 to 9 who are starting to read in French and need to address the topic of grades and self-esteem.
