«Medianoche de amor» is the novel by Michel Tournier published by Alfaguara in paperback (248 pages, in Spanish).
Yves and Nadège, a couple who have stopped understanding each other after years of happiness, decide to announce their separation to their friends during a dinner. The night becomes a challenge of imagination: each guest must tell a story that surpasses the previous one in strength and beauty. These tales, compared to those of the Decameron, end up transforming the couple's relationship before dawn.
The work belongs to the Literaturas collection. Originally published in French as «Le médianoche amoureux» (1989), this Spanish edition includes the translation by Santiago Martín Bermúdez.
