«Medianoche en el campanario» is the children's and young adult novel by Óscar Sotillos López, published by Premium Editorial in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
Elia spends her summer in her grandparents' village and reunites with Víctor, who now has a new gang that laughs at the secret she confided in him about the bell tower at midnight. With echoes of Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan, the story portrays the transition from childhood to adolescence, with adults who lie and magic in the small things.
«Medianoche en el campanario» is the third volume in the Tranvía naranja collection; the work won the IV Premio de Narrativa Infantil y Juvenil Diputación de Córdoba in 2015 and was published in 2016.
Recommended reading for boys and girls aged 8 to 12, especially those who enjoy stories of friendship, mystery and adventure.
