Mi hermana Elba y los altillos de Brumal

Synopsis of Mi hermana Elba y los altillos de Brumal

«Mi hermana Elba y los altillos de Brumal» is the short story collection by Cristina Fernández Cubas, published by Tusquets Editores S.A. in paperback (208 pages, in Spanish).

The extraordinary lurks in ordinary places: an attic, an antique clock, or a boarding school courtyard. Across eight stories, the author invites a journey through memory and everyday worlds with blurred boundaries, where the magical and the unsettling intertwine with childhood and its codes.

This volume, number 61 in the Andanzas collection, brings together the stories Mi hermana Elba and Los altillos de Brumal. The cover reproduces a detail from Girl at the Mirror by Norman Rockwell.

For readers of contemporary Spanish fiction and fans of literary short stories with mysterious atmospheres.
