«Mirall trencat» is the choral novel by Mercè Rodoreda, published by FisicalBook in paperback (276 pages, in Catalan).
«Mirall trencat» narrates the lives of three generations of the Valldaura family in Barcelona before the Spanish Civil War. The fragmentary structure and multiple voices turn the story into a choral vision of the city and the era, woven through the bonds between the characters.
«Mirall trencat» was originally published in 1974 and won the Premi Lletra d'Or in 1976. This edition dates from 1994.
A work recommended for readers interested in classics of Catalan narrative and twentieth-century literary fiction.
