«Mostel·lària, una de fantasmes» is the play by Plautus, published by Adesiara Editorial in paperback (200 pages, in Catalan and Latin).
The elderly Theopropides returns to Athens after three years of travel and finds that his son Philolaches has squandered his fortune on carousing with friends and on the favors of the courtesan Philematium. To hide this from him, the slave Tranio devises a series of deceptions, starting by claiming that the house is haunted. The lies become complicated in a succession of comic entanglements until a surprising denouement.
Translation from Latin into Catalan by Esther Artigas Alvarez. Volume 42 of the Aetas collection from Adesiara Editorial.
For readers of classical theater and Roman comedy, with a Catalan edition.

Titus Maccius Plautus was a Roman playwright of the Old Latin period. His comedies are the earliest Latin literary works to have survived in their entirety. He wrote Palliata comoedia, the genre devised by Livius Andronicus, the innovator of Latin literature. The word Plautine refers to both Plautus's own works and works similar to or influenced by his. He influenced some of the greatest figures in literature, including Shakespeare and Molière.
