«Bruixa de dol (1977-1979)» is the poetry collection by M. Mercè Marçal Serra, published by Educaula in paperback (160 pages, in Catalan).
The collection combines popular and classical poetic forms to express Marçal's commitment to life, language, love and freedom. The book's images invite a free and bold reading, from a female and feminist perspective, and the book moves from an intimate self to a collective we of women, fairies and witches, with an epic spirit.
This work was originally published in 1979; the 2020 edition belongs to the Educació 62 collection and includes a preliminary study by Mercè Otero.
It is aimed at young readers, both for personal discovery of Marçal's poetry and for classroom work.
