«Mujer en el baño» is the narrative essay by Manuel Rivas, published by Alfaguara in paperback (312 pages, in Spanish).
A raw conversation between the image of a woman and the man watching her gives rise to an essay that turns into fiction. Aware that writing is a commitment, Manuel Rivas challenges conservative hypocrisy, rejection of immigrants, sensationalist journalism and collective amnesia, with irony and humor in the face of cynicism.
Work from the Hispánica collection, Spanish version of the Galician original 'Muller no Baño'; Manuel Rivas won the Premio Nacional de las Letras Españolas 2024.
Manuel Rivas Barrós is a Galician writer, poet and journalist.
