«Os outros feirantes» is a collection of short stories by Álvaro Cunqueiro, published by Editorial Galaxia in paperback (164 pages).
The book brings together a series of brief portraits of Galician characters who, though seemingly plausible, hide fantastic peculiarities or become involved in wondrous events. With a humor that is at once wry and gentle, and a melancholic, meticulous gaze, Cunqueiro draws these figures as a sample of a mythical Galicia.
Published in 1979, it received the Premio de la Crítica de Narrativa Galega. It includes stories such as «O canto de Alberte Merlo» and «O vestido da Cañiza».
