«Peter Pan: Londres» is the fantasy comic by Régis Loisel, published by Norma Editorial in 1992 in paperback (54 pages, in Spanish).
The comic takes a still-child Peter Pan through the streets of a grey, hostile London, among mice and ruins. Loisel combines a sordid atmosphere with flashes of magic and poetry: the story speaks of a world full of disappointments and of the gaze of one who keeps dreaming of the stars.
First volume of the «Peter Pan» series; part of the Pandora Collection (no. 27). Winner of the Alph-art public award at the Angoulême Festival in 1992.
For those seeking an adult, sombre take on the Peter Pan myth, with a London setting between poetry and rawness.
Régis Loisel is a French cartoonist, best known for the series La Quête de l'oiseau du temps, written by Serge Le Tendre.
