«Peter Pan, tome 1: Londres» is the fantasy adventure comic by Régis Loisel, published by Vents d'Ouest in hardcover (63 pages, in French).
Peter is an abandoned boy who scrapes a living on the streets of Victorian London, where he entertains other children by telling stories. One night, a small fairy appears to him and teaches him to fly over the snowy rooftops. This adaptation of J. M. Barrie's classic offers a dark and gritty vision of the character, far from the Disney version.
First volume of the Peter Pan series by Régis Loisel, whose original French edition appeared in 1990. The action takes place in Victorian London in 1887.
For adult readers who appreciate dark revisions of classic tales and French bande dessinée.
Régis Loisel is a French cartoonist, best known for the series La Quête de l'oiseau du temps, written by Serge Le Tendre.
