«Poesía selecta» is the poetry anthology by Amado Nervo, published by Losada in paperback (186 pages, in Spanish).
A selection of the lyrical work of Amado Nervo, a Mexican poet of intense and delicate lyricism. His poetry, simple and spiritual, reveals a gentle melancholy, and this anthology brings together compositions by an author who cultivated the short story, the article and the essay, and whose human depth has remained outside literary fashions.
The edition belongs to the Grandes Autores Literatura Universal collection, directed by professor F. L. Cardona, and dates from 1994.
For readers of poetry in Spanish seeking a representative sample of Mexican lyricism with a spiritual and intimate tone.

Amado Nervo also known as Juan Crisóstomo Ruiz de Nervo, was a Mexican poet, journalist and educator. He also acted as Mexican Ambassador to Argentina and Uruguay. His poetry was known for its use of metaphor and reference to mysticism, presenting both love and religion, as well as Christianity and Hinduism. Nervo is noted as one of the most important Mexican poets of the 19th century.
