«Poesías» is the poetic work of Fray Luis de León, published by Planeta in paperback (240 pages, in Spanish).
The work brings together original poems by Fray Luis de León along with his translations of Virgil's Eclogues and the Song of Solomon, in an edition with introduction and notes by Father Ángel Custodio Vega. The verses are religious and moral in tone, with a presence of nature and the search for inner peace, representative of the Spanish Renaissance.
This edition belongs to the Planeta Universal Classics collection (no. 14) and is a reprint of the first edition of 1980.
