«Política para Amador» is an essay on political philosophy by Fernando Savater, published by Editorial Ariel in paperback (237 pages, in Spanish).
Savater presents politics as the way of organizing life in common and distinguishes it from ethics, which is individual. In an accessible tone, he covers power, democracy, justice and institutions, and encourages young people to understand the public sphere and to participate with discernment rather than reducing politics to parties or scandals.
«Política para Amador» was published in 1992 in the Ariel collection and complements «Ética para Amador», by the same author.
It is aimed at young readers, especially those approaching politics for the first time and looking for an accessible guide.
Fernando Fernández-Savater Martín is a Spanish philosopher, essayist and author.
