«Princípios da Filosofia» is the philosophical work by René Descartes published by Porto Editora in paperback (155 pages, in Portuguese).
In this work, Descartes sets out the principles of his natural philosophy and seeks to deduce scientific knowledge from his metaphysics. His explanation of motion and celestial phenomena influenced later thinkers and made the text a reference for seventeenth-century science and philosophy.
This Portuguese edition was published in 1995 and belongs to Porto Editora's «Filosofia - Textos» collection (no. 3).
Recommended for philosophy students and readers interested in Cartesianism and the history of science.
