Réflexions sur la question antisémite

Synopsis of Réflexions sur la question antisémite

«Réflexions sur la question antisémite» is an essay by Delphine Horvilleur, published by Bernard Grasset in 2019 (154 pages, in French).

Delphine Horvilleur reverses Sartre’s approach: she explores antisemitism through sacred texts, rabbinic tradition and Jewish legends. She analyzes how the antisemitic psyche accuses the Jew of obstructing the world, of embodying lack or the feminine, and how that literature offers tools to resist hatred and competitive victimhood.

For readers of philosophical essays interested in Jewish thought, antisemitism and its contemporary manifestations.
