«Renato e la TV dei pirati» is the children's novel by Simone Frasca, published by Piemme in paperback (64 pages, in Italian).
Renato, a boy with a great imagination, livens up life aboard a pirate ship with stories and antics: he suggests mutinies, hidden treasures, and entertains the crew every night. Everything changes when his friend Astolfo writes to him praising the creative virtues of television. From then on, the ship falls into long periods of inactivity until the captain buys a television, though no one knows how it works. A brilliant idea from Renato will turn things upside down.
It belongs to the Il battello a vapore collection, within the white series (Serie bianca), aimed at early readers.
Suitable for children who already read with some fluency and are looking for zany pirate stories, with humor and fantasy.
