A twelve-year-old boy finds a skull beside a disturbed grave and, as if in a dream, witnesses the story of Robin des Bois. While Richard the Lionheart is on crusade, his brother Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham oppress England; from Sherwood Forest, Robin and his companions defy that tyranny to restore justice.
French translation by Noël Chassériau and illustrations by Jean-Philippe Chabot. Work originally published in English as Robin of Sherwood. Edition from the Folio Junior collection published in 2018.
Recommended for readers aged 10 to 13, especially for those who want to discover the legend of Robin Hood in French.

Sir Michael Andrew Bridge Morpurgo is an English book author, poet, playwright, and librettist who is known best for children's novels such as War Horse (1982). His work is noted for its "magical storytelling", for recurring themes such as the triumph of an outsider or survival, for characters' relationships with nature, and for vivid settings such as the Cornish coast or the trenches of the First World War. Morpurgo was the third Children's Laureate, from 2003 to 2005, and is President of BookTrust, a children's reading charity.
