«Santas del siglo XX» is a book of biographies written by Paloma Gómez Borrero, Pilar Cambra, Ángeles Galino, Mercedes Gordon and Marta Portal, in paperback.
It brings together five biographies of twentieth-century saints: Gianna Beretta Molla, Giuseppina Bakhita, Victoria Díez y Bustos de Molina, Teresa de los Andes and Edith Stein. The authors show that holiness is not a thing of a past era, but is within everyone's reach: a personal encounter and a sincere love for Jesus Christ suffice.
The work, published by Planeta in 1997, has 248 pages and includes a prologue by Ramón Pi.
For readers interested in Christian spirituality, lives of saints and testimonies of faith from the twentieth century.
María Paloma Gómez Borrero was a Spanish journalist and writer. In 1976, she became the second female television foreign correspondents from Spain, when appointed correspondent in Italy and the Vatican for Televisión Española (TVE).
