«Si això és un home» is Primo Levi's testimony about the Nazi extermination camps, published by Grup 62 in paperback (240 pages).
Primo Levi, a survivor of Auschwitz, recounts his experience in the concentration camps of occupied Poland. The work combines first-person testimony with a reflection on human dignity and abjection in the face of extermination, written in a sober prose that moves and pushes the reader to question the limits of the human condition.
This title is the first volume of the Auschwitz Trilogy; the original work was published in 1947.
For readers interested in historical testimonies of the Holocaust and in World War II literature.

Primo Michele Levi was a Jewish Italian chemist, partisan, Holocaust survivor and writer. He was the author of several books, collections of short stories, essays, poems and one novel. His best-known works include: If This Is a Man, his account of the year he spent as a prisoner in the Auschwitz concentration camp in Nazi-occupied Poland; and The Periodic Table (1975), a collection of mostly autobiographical short stories, each named after a chemical element which plays a role in each story, which the Royal Institution named the best science book ever written.
