«Slow economy. Rinascere con saggezza» is the economic essay by Federico Rampini, published by Mondadori in paperback (196 pages, in Italian).
After the great recession, it examines Western growth and questions consumerism and excessive indebtedness. Traversing East and West, it proposes a sustainable «slow economy», inspired by Eastern wisdom and Gross National Happiness, to turn the crisis into an opportunity for personal and social rebalancing.
Published in 2010, it is part of the Piccola Biblioteca Oscar Mondadori collection. The cover includes the motto «Tutto quello che noi occidentali possiamo imparare dall’Oriente».
For readers interested in economics, crisis and alternative development models, especially from the dialogue between East and West.
