«Sombras en la hierba» is Isak Dinesen's memoir, published by Alfaguara in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
Sombras en la hierba continues Isak Dinesen's recollections of Kenya begun in Memorias de África. It brings together extraordinary characters and scenes: Nairobi's commerce, lion hunts, dreams and ritual dances on the farm. It is not an autobiography: the author yields the spotlight to life, diverse, untamed, cruel and tender.
Original title: Shadows on the grass. Translation by Aquilino Duque. Second installment of the Out of Africa series. Spanish edition published in 1993.
For readers of memoirs and biographies, interested in Africa and in the figure of Isak Dinesen, and for those who enjoyed Memorias de África.
