«Somnis de l'harem» is the work by Fatima Mernissi published by Columna in Catalan (220 pages).
The work approaches the life of women in a harem, where dreams and desires coexist with the rules of tradition. Mernissi combines memories and reflections to show how power, freedom and female identity are negotiated in that closed space, and it touches on the culture and society of her time.
Fatema Mernissi was a Moroccan feminist writer and sociologist.
