«Sonata de primavera / Sonata de estío» is a volume bringing together two novels by Ramón del Valle-Inclán, published by Espasa Calpe in paperback, in Spanish.
The volume brings together two pieces from the memoirs of the Marqués de Bradomín, an ugly, Catholic and sentimental Don Juan. The first is set in a springtime Italy and the second in an exuberant Mexico; both recreate the Don Juan myth from modernism, pitting the aristocratic and the sacred against bourgeois realism.
It belongs to the Austral Collection, number 37, and includes an introduction by Pere Gimferrer. The edition has 184 pages.
For readers interested in twentieth-century Spanish literature and modernism.
Dramaturgo, novelista y poeta español, creador del esperpento y autor de Luces de Bohemia y Tirano Banderas.
