Un sabato, con gli amici

Synopsis of Un sabato, con gli amici

«Un sabato, con gli amici» is the novel by Andrea Camilleri, published by Mondadori in hardcover (142 pages, in Italian).

The novel follows a group of friends whose lives, marked since childhood by trauma and turmoil, seem to stabilize in adulthood. However, the past takes its toll and latent conflicts erupt. Camilleri dispenses with dialect and irony to offer a dry, sharp prose; each character is left to their own drift.

The book is part of the «Scrittori italiani e stranieri» series and corresponds to the first edition, published in 2009.

Readers of Camilleri who want an atypical work, far from his usual irony and the Montalbano universe, will find a hard-hitting narrative.
