«Una madre tan punk» is the contemporary novel by Teresa Moure, published by Hoja de Lata Editorial in paperback (308 pages, in Spanish).
Retired judge Sara Fortes makes disorder and extravagance her rebellion. Her children Pedro and Alba look the other way; Malena, Pedro's wife, is left alone. When Sara sets her house on fire, the family stops. Monologues, travel diaries through South Africa and notes on the French Revolution weave a reflection on motherhood, travel and pettiness.
It belongs to the Sensibles a las Letras collection, number 21. It is a translation by the author herself from Portuguese; the original work was published in 2014.
For readers of contemporary fiction and current Spanish narrative.
