«Aldebaran» is the illustrated children's book by Javier Sobrino, published by La Galera in paperback (24 pages, in Catalan).
The story presents Maria, a girl who lives in a village of stone houses, paths with puddles and cherry trees that bear fruit in summer. The tale, intended for early readers, combines simple narration with illustrations that accompany the scene of the boy and the cat on the cover.
It is part of the «Cues de Sirena» collection, of which it is number 2. The Catalan edition includes joined-up writing to facilitate independent reading.
