«Don Camilo» is the humorous novel by Giovanni Guareschi, published by Punto de Lectura in paperback (448 pages, in Spanish).
The priest Don Camilo and the communist mayor Peppone constantly clash in the fictional village of Boscaccio, in postwar Italy. Their disputes between faith and politics end in comic situations and, at the same time, show a shared humanity in the face of the injustices of the time.

For readers seeking classic humor and a human portrait of postwar Italy.
