The Quran is the sacred book of Islam, containing the teachings and revelations of God (Allah) to Muhammad through the archangel Gabriel. This volume, published by Plutón Ediciones, presents an annotated edition by Raúl González Bórnez, based on the Hafs version, the most popular in the Islamic world. The text is based on the official Arabic edition of the Quran, sponsored by King Fuad I of Egypt and published in Cairo in 1923, which contains the canonical text of Hafs ibn Sulaiman al-Asadi. This edition is enriched with notes on the peculiarities of the Arabic language and explanations of the historical context in which the word of God was revealed to Muhammad, offering a deeper and more complete understanding of the sacred text.
