«La dinastia de terracota» is the poetry collection by Jesús Giron Araque, published by Viena in paperback (104 pages, in Catalan).
The poems combine reflections on solitude, life, pain and everydayness from the Chinese tradition. Real and imaginary characters star in an invented dynasty that hosts fictional poets with distinct voices. It closes the Chinese-inspired trilogy begun with «El bosc de bambú» and continued with «El so de la flauta de jade».
The work won the 48th Premi Vila de Martorell 2023 in the open poetry category and is volume 265 of the Poesia collection from Viena Edicions.
For readers of contemporary poetry and Catalan literature interested in the Chinese tradition.
