«La fiesta de cumpleaños» is the children's picture book by Helen Oxenbury, published by Editorial Juventud in hardcover (16 pages, in Spanish).
The protagonist experiences all the steps before a birthday: choosing and wrapping the gift, resisting the temptation to open it, getting ready, and arriving at the friend's house to hand it over. The celebration continues with the birthday cake, the song, and the games, in a story designed for little ones to recognize their own experiences.
This title belongs to the «Oxenbury Books» collection. The original work, «The Birthday Party», appeared in 1983.
A book designed for children aged 2 to 4, with scenes close to their first parties and celebrations.
