«La golosina visual» is Ignacio Ramonet's essay on mass communication, published by Debate in hardcover (224 pages, in Spanish).
Ignacio Ramonet analyzes how mass communications shape thought in the Internet age. With examples from television and movies, the book shows the mechanisms of media influence and how images and audiovisual narratives leave subliminal traces that condition behavior and reduce freedom.
Originally written in Spanish, the work was published on May 25, 2000 in the Temas de Debate collection.
For a general audience with an interest in sociology, communication and critical analysis of the mass media.
