«Los traspiés de Alicia Paf» is the children's and young adult fantasy novel by Gianni Rodari, published by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil in paperback (80 pages, in Spanish).
Alicia Paf is a little girl who always ends up in trouble and, unfazed, enters worlds where the impossible happens daily: she falls into an illustrated page and chats with the Wolf, ends up in the inkwell or travels inside a soap bubble. Every stumble becomes a zany adventure mixing fantasy, humor and imagination, in which the girl always finds a graceful way out.
It belongs to Anaya's «Sopa de Libros» collection, volume 13 of the series. The edition includes illustrations by Montse Ginesta. The book was included in the List of the best books for children and young people of the Banco del Libro de Venezuela.
Recommended for early readers aged 8 and up and for those who enjoy short fantasy and humor stories, both at home and in the classroom.
Giovanni Francesco "Gianni" Rodari was an Italian writer and journalist, most famous for his works of children's literature, notably Il romanzo di Cipollino. For his lasting contribution as a children's author, he received the biennial Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1970. He is considered Italy's most important 20th-century children's author, and his books have been translated into many languages, though few have been published in English.
