«A ladroa da biblioteca de Meirás» is the young adult novel by Eva Mejuto, published by Edicións Xerais in paperback (200 pages, in Galician).
Mariña sneaks into the library of the Pazo de Meirás, a forbidden refuge. The risk of being discovered is part of the game, and she wonders if she is wrong to take the books on «loan», since her family had their house stolen to build the summer residence of the Generalísimo. That summer everything will change in her life, in the pazo, and perhaps in the country.
Published in 2022 in the Fóra de Xogo collection. It was a finalist for the Jules Verne Prize for Young Adult Literature.
Aimed at readers aged 13 and up looking for an adventure story with a historical and cultural Galician backdrop.
