«La belle lisse poire du prince de Motordu» is the children's story by Pef, published by Gallimard Jeunesse in paperback (40 pages, in French).
Prince Motordu speaks in a peculiar way: in his mouth, a castle becomes a hat, a boy an ice cube, and a girl a marble. Princess Dézécolle, a teacher, invites him to her class to straighten out his language. A French children's classic full of wordplay and zany humor.
First title in the Le Prince de Motordu series, in the L'heure des histoires collection. Recommended age: 3 to 7 years. Originally published in 1980.
For children aged 3 to 7, especially those starting to read in French or wanting to enjoy the language's puns.
