«Nouvelle Vie et autres récits» is the science fiction short story collection by Pierre Bordage, published by Flammarion in paperback (160 pages, in French).
Five science fiction stories about the dilemmas of progress: cloning, hyper-industrialized society, sale of genetic heritage and large-scale manhunt. Bordage presents futuristic scenarios that push bioethics to the limit and ask how far humanity can go in the name of advancement.
Published in 2013, it is a French edition within the Étonnants classiques collection from Flammarion, with a pedagogical dossier by Fabien Clavel: interview with the author, history of the genre and analysis of images.
Edition for school use in France, intended for secondary school students working on argumentation and bioethics through science fiction.
Pierre Bordage was a French science fiction author. He won the Cosmos 2000 prize in 1996 for his novel La Citadelle Hyponéros.
