«The Long Tail» is Chris Anderson's business and economics essay, published in 2007 in paperback (256 pages, in English).
Chris Anderson argues that the internet, by offering an almost unlimited supply, transforms commerce: niche products can add up to as much as big hits. He analyzes this logic in sectors such as toys, advertising or appliances, and sets out the rules for operating in that long-tail economy.
Chris Anderson first developed these ideas in an article for Wired magazine and later expanded them in this essay.
Recommended for marketing professionals, entrepreneurs and readers interested in the digital economy and new business models.

Chris Anderson is an English-American author and entrepreneur. He was with The Economist for seven years before joining Wired magazine in 2001, where he was the editor-in-chief until 2012.
